France Football’s prestigious award is one of the highest honors a professional footballer can win during his career. For most of the modern era, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi had a firm grip on the prize, almost trading it back and forth.

Here are the last 15 winners of the men’s Ballon d’Or award:

The only two players not named Messi or Ronaldo to win the award in the last fifteen years were Karim Benzema and Luka Modric. Vinícius Júnior is the favorite to win this year after an excellent season for Real Madrid, although he faces stiff competition from teammate Jude Bellingham and Manchester City’s Rodri.

Viewers in the United States can watch the event on Paramount+ and the CBS Golazo Network. The ceremony starts at 3:45 PM. International viewers can also tune in to L’Equipe’s YouTube channel, which will likely feature red carpet festivities and more.
