What to expect from Call of Duty Next

Call of Duty: Next will offer a deeper look at Black Ops 6’s multiplayer, including more information on the new Omnimovement system. The event will also provide more information on Black Ops 6’s new maps and modes, as well as the general gameplay and systems available to players.

The event is happening in part to build excitement for the Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta, which begins on August 30. Call of Duty: Next will showcase a number of multiplayer maps in the beta.

In addition to multiplayer, Call of Duty: Next will provide a closer look at Liberty Falls, one of two launch maps for Zombies. Additionally, the event will reveal more about Area 99, the newest map for battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone.

In addition to all of this, Call of Duty: Next will have updates about “Black Ops 6 integrations and more announcements,” whatever that means. Also on the mysterious side, Activision’s blog post has a redacted section regarding “information” about… something. Fortunately, it won’t be long before we know what all this means.

Some have speculated that one of the reveals for Call of Duty: Next will be an announcement for early access to Black Ops 6’s campaign, or even the Zombies mode. Previous Call of Duty games have let players jump into the campaign a week early if they pre-ordered, but so far no such promotion has been announced for Black Ops 6.

A recent rumor suggested that Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode could be available early for pre-orderers, but this may not be true. GameSpot will have more information when it’s announced.
