Who sent Jenn home? What You Missed on ‘The Men Tell All’

Who sent Jenn home during the fantasy suite dates on ‘The Bachelorette’?

You could almost hear the hearts of Bachelor Nation breaking when Jenn said goodbye to Jonathon, a 27-year-old creative director from Los Angeles.

“I know it doesn’t help our situation right now, but I was walking on the beach all alone last night and I found these chairs overlooking the ocean, and I just needed some time to think,” Jonathon told Jenn after the rose ceremony. “And the whole time I was sitting there thinking, I found all the clarity I needed. There was no one I wanted to sit there with more than you. And it hit me that I was taking too long to realize how incredible you are.”

The couple said their final goodbyes and as he drove away, he told the cameras that he “saw a wonderful future with this girl, and I felt like the biggest idiot because there was something wonderful right in front of me, and I was too much my own enemy to see it until it was too late.”

What happened on the last episode of ‘The Bachelorette’?

Last week on “The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All,” Bachelor Nation watched the dramatic conclusion of Jenn’s fantasy suites and heard from the men about their experiences on the show.

And the footage from Jenn’s fantasy suites immediately picked up the cliffhanger that left ABC fans on Monday night. Monday’s episode ended with Devin wondering if Jenn loved him enough to choose him, or if she loves him at all.

The series immediately picked up that storyline, opening with footage of Devin knocking on Jenn’s door to tell her that he doesn’t know if he can continue the series without knowing if Jenn loves him back.

Jenn granted her wish and Devin left her hotel room with a smile.

The two men left standing, who have the option to propose to Jenn in next week’s finale, are Marcus and Devin. Fans watched Jenn send Jonathon home during the rose ceremony, and after footage of his emotional departure played, he joined the rest of the men on stage to talk about his breakup with Jenn.

It’s not all bad news for Jonathon — host Jesse Palmer officially invited him to join the cast of “Bachelor in Paradise” in 2025. Fan-favorite Hakeem, who made waves on social media earlier in the season with his animated facial expressions, has also been invited to join “Paradise” in 2025 looking for love.

In true Tell All style, host Jesse Palmer delved into some of the conflicts that arose between the men during the season.

Sam M., who was voted by fans as one of the main “villains” of the season, finally took the heat for his behavior on the show. In case you missed it, Sam M. and Jenn had a strong spark to start, but it turned out to be mostly physical – when asked what he liked about Jenn, he turned the question around with revelations about himself, even dropping the “L” bomb in a panic. Jenn dropped Sam M. after episode 6.

They also discussed his issues with Devin, who wasn’t there to stand up for himself, but Jeremy did for him.

“What about Sam M.?” Jesse Palmer asked the men. “Did he keep the most important thing?”

“If Devin was the most important thing, then yeah…” Jeremy said, prompting a round of laughter and applause from the audience. “Have you ever seen ‘Mean Girls’? And Lindsay Lohan’s character claims she hates Regina George, but all she talks about is Regina George… That was just like Sam.”

Sam M. then took the hot seat next to Jesse Palmer as the audience watched a compilation of footage from his time on the show. In response, Sam seemed to apologize and be a fan of the word “truthful.” Jesse asked him if he really loved Jenn when he told her that or if he did it to avoid being sent home.

“I think Jenn, and I think a lot of people, just doubted the authenticity of what you said,” Jesse told Sam. “Sam, did you really love her? I think for a lot of people who saw that, it felt like a hail mary when you said that.”

Sam said that he was “100%” honest and that he really loved Jenn and that he just didn’t have the right words to tell her. After some back and forth between the guys and Sam, who kept dropping the word “honest,” Jenn finally came on stage and confronted Sam as well.

“I’m going to say this in words that you understand, so I’m going to keep the main thing the main thing… I wasn’t mad that you didn’t know how to describe love. It’s clear that we’re on very different emotional, intellectual levels,” Jenn told Sam.

“What did bother me was the fact that I looked back and saw how you treated these men: puffing your chest out everywhere, the blatant disrespect for everyone. And then in our relationship, everything revolved around you all the time: how you felt at that moment, what you wanted to do. Everything (revolved) around you.”

At the end of her speech to Sam, Jenn shared that while the season was airing, he had called on family and friends to defend him and his actions on social media.

“You looked back at that and instead of growing and learning from it, you decided to focus on that,” Jenn said. “And let your friends and family online defend your honor when you’re a grown man.”

She also accused Sam of blaming the show’s producers, editors and ABC for his bad behavior, instead of “taking responsibility for (his) actions.”

“Ultimately, the man I saw on that TV show is the exact man I’ve been sitting across from this whole journey,” Jenn said, calling him delusional and saying she feels very sorry for whoever Sam ends up as if he doesn’t learn to take responsibility for his actions.

The crowd applauded and Sam apologized “honestly.”

“I think I came here and spoke with a lot of responsibility, honestly,” Sam said. “I definitely lost a lot of myself in some of those moments… I wish I could go back and do them again, honestly.”

Is Grant Ellis the next Bachelor?

After his emotional exit in episode six, fans were excited to quickly learn that they would be seeing more of Grant Ellis next year. The 30-year-old day trader was quietly announced as the lead for season 29 of “The Bachelor” earlier this month.

“As Bachelor, Ellis is eager to embark on a journey filled with romance, adventure and genuine connections,” ABC said in a press release. “He hopes to find a partner who shares his values of loyalty, humor and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.”

Ellis will be only the second Black Bachelor lead in the reality dating show franchise’s more than 20-year history. The first was Matt James during the show’s 25th season in 2021.

When can I watch ‘The Golden Bachelorette’?

More Bachelor Nation content is coming soon! ABC announced earlier this year that they would be developing “The Golden Bachelorette” starring fan favorite from Gerry Turner’s season — Joan Vassos, a 61-year-old private school principal in Maryland.

“The Golden Bachelorette” is set to premiere this fall, scheduled for Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT. ABC has not yet announced an exact date.

Episodes are 90 minutes long, 30 minutes longer than the first season of “The Golden Bachelor.”
