If you want to create your own versions of basketball history, NBA 2K25 This allows you to create your own custom teams.

There are already plenty of alternatives to try if you want to avoid the Modern Era, which uses the official, updated NBA rosters. There are specific eras based on the champions of the games, including modern-day icons like Stephen Curry. But if you want something different, a custom roster lets you experience timelines that aren’t officially available.

How to use custom player rosters in NBA 2K25?

You can create your own custom rosters by editing the default rosters. However, you can’t use them in modes like MyTeam or MyCareer. If you want to use custom squads outside of exhibition matches, MyNBA eras are your best bet.

• Go to MyNBA Eras
• Go to MyNBA. Don’t accidentally go to MyGM.
• Pick the era you want. I prefer Modern Era, but this needs to be matched to the custom file you want to use. Using a Modern Era custom squad with the Jordan Era makes little sense.
• Make sure to enable all options in Setup Options, including Custom Squads. Then proceed to the next step.
• Here you can select the squad you want. There is the option to go with a user created squad.
• You can download and use a team created by other users.
• Alternatively, you can also use a custom squad you created yourself. This can be done via “My Files” in the Roster Picker under the section “User-created Rosters”.
