Dracula has three forms that he can switch between in the blink of an eye. Only his Vampire and Wolf forms can attack, while his Bat form is mainly used to cover ground quickly. The general strategy for dealing with Dracula is to keep running. Both his Wolf and Vampire forms have anti-looping abilities that will easily catch survivors who run straight towards pallets and windows.

How to Counteract the Vampire Form

In Vampire form, Dracula can use the Hellfire spell to shoot seven pillars of flame in a straight line. You can dodge this attack by making quick, sharp turns away from Dracula’s line of sight. When charging or canceling the Hellfire spell, Dracula’s speed is drastically reduced, so you can also use this time to run.

How to Counter the Wolf Form

With the Wolf form, Dracula can charge up two Pounces to quickly jump forward and attack. Similar to the Hellfire spell, Dracula will slow down when he charges up a Pounce, so you know to dodge when he starts to slow down. To avoid a Pounce, hug walls in a loop and keep running. If Dracula Pounces against an object, it will trigger a long animation, buying you some time.

How to Counteract the Bat Shape

Bat form grants Dracula the Undetectable status effect, a significant speed boost, and the ability to teleport to vault points within 32 meters. Dracula can’t attack or see survivors in this form, so he must rely on scratches, blood pools, and noise to track down survivors. You can throw Dracula off your path by running in one direction and then back the way you came. If Dracula is close, you can run right through him, as he can’t bounce while in Bat form.
