How Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson plan to celebrate the holidays with their kids amid divorce rumors

They still plan to have a Merry Christmas.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson will reportedly focus on family time over the holidays, despite rumors of their divorce.

“Jessica and Eric plan to all be together with the kids over the holidays,” an insider told Us Weekly.

The “Irresistible” singer, 44, and former NFL player, 45, share three children: daughters Maxwell, 12, and Birdie, 5, and 11-year-old son Ace.

“It’s all about the kids and family,” the source continued, adding that the supposedly estranged couple didn’t hate each other.

Another insider told the newspaper last week that Simpson and Johnson are “trying to find a divorce without disrupting their children’s lives as much as possible” and that they are “still figuring things out.”

“They are both very committed to the well-being of the children and trying to figure out what is best for them,” the insider said.

Another source claimed that Simpson is “heartbroken” and that navigating their reported split has been “an incredibly difficult time.”

Speculation about the duo’s impending divorce has been swirling for months, as eagle-eyed spies took note of Simpson posting photos without her wedding ring.

Last week, Johnson added fuel to the fire when he went for a walk with his parents without his own wedding ring.

That same day, a source told Page Six exclusively that the retired tight end and Simpson had stopped attending their children’s school events together in recent months.

“Over the years, Jess always attended school events, alone or with Eric, never (him) alone. But lately it’s just Eric,” our source said at the time.

“As you can imagine, there has been a lot of gossip among the parents.”

Simpson also set tongues wagging when she posted a cryptic message on social media, leaving some fans convinced she was hinting at her single status.

Earlier this month, Jessica’s sister, Ashlee Simpson, played coy when a paparazzo inquired about the “Employee of the Month” actress’ relationship rumors.

“Do you know anything about it? Is that true?” the photographer asked the 40-year-old “Pieces of Me” singer, who bluntly replied, “No.”

Jessica and Johnson were last seen making out in public when they stepped out for a romantic Valentine’s Day date at Ivy at the Shore in Santa Monica, California, in February.

The fashion designer had blasted her husband on Instagram just months earlier, in September 2023.

“Eric turned 44 on September 15 and his family gave him all the love cells we have to celebrate his life,” she wrote at the time, adding: “My heart is so taken with this man, I can hardly call it my own ….We love youuuuu (he’s not an Instagram guy, but I always think the more well wishes the better).”

Jessica and Johnson tied the knot in July 2014. She was previously married to Nick Lachey.
