How Fast Is The Kawasaki KLX110? A Look At Its Top Speed And Acceleration Times

Kawasaki is a great motorcycle brand that has a product for every need, from cruising to dirt bikes, with the Kawasaki KLX line being a great option if you want to take your bike off-road. Since the KLX line includes some of the most popular dirt bikes for trail riding, there are several options and models that you can purchase depending on your budget and requirements. The Kawasaki KLX110R is a great choice if you are a beginner and want to get into the world of dirt bikes.

The official specs for the 2025 KLX110R list the bike as powered by a 112cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine and 7.3 horsepower at 7,500 rpm, as measured by MaxAbout. But what about speed? Is the KLX110R good for racing? Kawasaki doesn’t publish any top speed figures themselves, so to find speeds and acceleration times, we had to rely on individual user tests and a handful of websites doing their own measurements. Oneway_Jerry on YouTube measured the KLX110R’s top speed at 50 mph on the 2022 model. That’s not bad for a beginner’s ride, as it will give you more than enough power to power through off-road terrain while still maintaining control of the vehicle.

A look at the acceleration times of the Kawasaki KLX110

Kawasaki doesn’t currently list official acceleration times for the KLX110R on its consumer website, just as it doesn’t list horsepower and top speed information, so the best you can do is get an estimate from testers. According to DirtBikes, the Kawasaki KLX110R can do 0-60 mph in 8 seconds. That’s on par with the 2025 Honda CRF110F dirt bike and on the faster end of the spectrum for 110cc dirt bikes. Of course, these acceleration times and top speeds are approximations and your mileage may vary depending on many factors, but it’s a good estimate of how the KLX110R will perform.

If you want more control over your bike, or if you want a bigger bike, there’s the KLX110R L model. This larger model has a higher seat, high ground clearance, and a manual clutch for learning motorcycle shifting techniques—as opposed to the automatic clutch on the regular model. If you’re looking for other beginner-friendly bikes and want more power, the Kawasaki KLX230 is a good option for beginners.
