How do you complete Where’s Pumbaa? at Disney Dreamlight Valley

Pumbaa is missing Disney Dreamlight Valleyand it’s up to you to find him. If you want to join him and Timon in your village, you need to use the Where’s Pumbaa? treasure hunt.

This is the last quest you must complete before Timon and Pumbaa become residents of your village. However, it is quite complex to finish, so here it is how to complete Where’s Pumbaa? in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

To get the Where’s Pumbaa? search within Disney Dreamlight Valleyyou have to work with Timon to find and free Pumbaa. He’s gotten himself into a pretty sticky situation, so there are a lot of tasks you need to complete to save him.

Here’s everything you need to do in the Where’s Pumbaa? treasure hunt.

  • Talk to Timon.
  • Find the jungle.
  • Take one photo.
  • Find oily insects.
  • Combine the oils.
  • Pour oil on Pumbaa.
  • To ask Mold for help.
  • Gathering materials for the plunger.
  • Make the Reinforced plunger.

Talk to Timon

As soon as you get the Relax! quest, Where’s Pumbaa? starts since you wake up and see he’s gone. Talk to Timon to form a plan and then start the search for this missing warthog.

Search the jungle for Pumbaa

Head out to explore the jungle and look for Pumbaa. You can find him in the oasis area near where you spawn in the realm. His head is stuck in a tree trunk, so talk to him about this problem and then go to the ramp leading to the wooden bridge to get Timon’s help.

After explaining the situation, lead Timon back to Pumbaa so you can figure out what to do next.

Take a photo to better see how to free Pumbaa

It’s a delicate situation, so you have to take a photo to figure out how best to help Pumbaa. Equip your phone and take a photo with Pumbaa and the wooden tree trunk he’s stuck.

Talk to Timon again after taking a photo. You both agree that you need something slippery to help him and all you have to work with are bugs, so your next task is to get four oily bugs.

Break rocks in the jungle to search for oily insects

You have to find two yellow oily bugs, one blue oily bugs and one red oily bugs to create the oils you need to free Pumbaa. All these bugs are stuck in special ones sparkling rocks you can break with you Royal pickaxe. Here you can find them all.

Return to the tree trunk where Pumbaa is trapped to talk to Timon about the future. You now need to merge the insects to create special insect oil that you can use to free Pumbaa.

Cook special insect oils

Go to the river area to interact with the cooking station. Once you get there, you have to combine the bugs make Green Bug Oil and Orange Bug Oil. The color of the insects determines the outcome here, so it is crucial that you mix them together correctly.

  • To make Green insect oilyou have to combine one Blue oily bug and a Yellow oily insect.
  • To make Orange Insect Oilyou have to combine one Red fat bug and a Yellow oily insect.

Combine the Green Insect Oil and the Orange Insect Oil

To create the ultimate oil that can free Pumbaa, return to the cooking station and combine the Green Bug Oil with the Orange Bug Oil to create Super smooth insect oil. Return to Timon and give him the oil so you can try to free Pumbaa.

Pour the oil on Pumbaa

Timon doesn’t have a good way to distribute the oil evenly, so it’s up to you to use the Super Slippery Bug Oil to free Pumbaa. After Timon your Royal Watering Can Take it to the tree trunk that Pumbaa is stuck in and use it to free him.

Unfortunately, the oil doesn’t work, so meet with Timon to decide what to do next. You don’t want to leave Pumbaa alone, so you tell Timon to stay put while you leave the Empire to get extra help.

Contact Goofy for a solution to free Pumbaa from the logbook

Exit The Lion King Rich and find Goofie in your village. If you’re not sure where he is, check the map for his icon. He will either be at home, at one of the restaurants, shopping at Scrooge McDuck’s shop, or wandering around the valley.

Chat with Goofy once you find him and he’ll offer you a worn plunger use as leverage. He’s sure this will help, but you need to fix it before you can use it to free Pumbaa.

Gather the materials to strengthen the plunger

You’ll need to collect quite a few materials to strengthen the plunger so you can save Pumbaa. Here you will find all the items you need and how to get them.

10 iron blocks Can be crafted at a crafting station using iron ore obtained from mining in the Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, and Forgotten Lands biomes.
10 Rope Can be made with eight fibers. Fiber can be made using one seaweed that you can catch from any water body.
15 Tourmaline Can be mined from the Frosted Heights and Sunlit Plateau biomes.
15 Hardwood Drops on the ground of trees in the Forest of Valor, Frosted Heights, Sunlit Plateau, and Glade of Trust biomes.

Make the reinforced plunger

Once you have collected all the necessary items, navigate to the Functional items page on a craft station. Select the Reinforced plunger option to use your supplies and create this item.

Return to The Lion King Realm and meet Timon and Pumba once you’ve created the Reinforced Plunger. Give Pumbaa the reinforced plunger and you will finally work together to free him.

After Pumbaa is free, the three of you head back to camp. Timon decides he wants to move to the valley, so listen as he tells Pumbaa this and they decide what to do. Once they finish talking, they decide to move to the valley.

Exit The Lion King Realm and watch Timon and Pumbaa’s introductory scenes play out. Once they’re done, chat with Timon one last time to complete the Where’s Pumbaa? quest and officially add both characters to your village.
