Sobble is a wild roe in Pokémon Go, so you can find it while exploring the real world. To increase your spawn chances, you can use Incense, but Sobble should be a fairly common spawn, especially in big cities.

A selection of Galar starters are also available in the new Special Research story in the Max Out season. If you select Sobble, expect to encounter Sobble upon completing Field research tasks.

Sobble can also come out of 5km eggs during the Max Out season, so there are plenty of ways to encounter this Pokémon and add it to your Pokédex.

Can Sobble be Shiny in Pokémon Go?

No, Sobble cannot be Shiny in Pokemon go. While disappointing, this is standard practice when new Pokémon are introduced Pokemon go—and we’ll probably have to wait a while longer until the shiny Sobble is available.

Alola starters were introduced Pokemon go in March 2022, but their Shiny variants didn’t arrive until this year, with the drop for each of the starters being spread out over multiple months. If the same pace continues, we could be well into Gen 10 before Galar starters get Shinies Pokemon go.

There is no change in Sobble’s evolution method in Pokemon go from other starters, with the only requirement being Sobble Candy. To earn more, catch more Sobbles, but you can also get extra Sobble Candy for completing Field Research tasks.

Sobble has two evolution stages: The first is Drizzile, and the final form is Inteleon, the Secret Agent Pokémon. The requirements for each evolution stage are listed below:

  • From sob to drizzle: 25 Sobble Candies
  • Drizzle to Inteleon: 100 Sobble Candies

If you don’t have enough Sobble Candies to evolve, equip Sobble as your Partner Pokémon to earn extra Candies while walking. This can take a while, though, so the best approach is to use a Pinap Berry when attempting to catch Sobble, as it doubles the amount of Sobble Candy you’ll receive if you successfully catch it.
