Houston man arrested for allegedly assaulting a child at Killeen hotel

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) – A Houston man was arrested after he convinced a girl to come into his Killeen hotel room and sexually assaulted her, an affidavit alleges.

Kingsley Williams, 49, is charged with sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony.

On August 3, 2023, officers were dispatched to a Killeen hotel after reports of a sexual assault on a child.

When police arrived on scene, the affidavit states they spoke with the 16-year-old victim and her mother.

The victim’s mother said the victim was in the hallway when she heard a door close, the affidavit said.

The victim’s mother looked into the hallway and did not see the victim and assumed she had entered the stairwell, the affidavit said.

Some time later, the affidavit states that the victim told her mother that she had been sexually assaulted by a man who was staying in a room a few doors away.

The victim told officers she accidentally went to the wrong door and the man, later identified as Williams, convinced her to come into the room, the affidavit said.

While in the room, the affidavit alleges Williams removed both clothes and sexually assaulted the victim.

According to the affidavit, the victim said she was too scared to try to escape.

The victim’s younger sister told police that Williams had previously asked her to come into the room and ask about the victim, the affidavit said.

A CAC interview and SANE exam were conducted during which much of the same information was told to the interviewer and nurse, the affidavit said.

DNA taken during the SANE exam tested as “extremely more likely that the samples came from (the victim) and Williams than (the victim) and another individual,” according to the affidavit.

Authorities later interviewed Williams and his wife, with Williams saying the victim initiated everything, according to the affidavit.

Williams said he believed the victim was a prostitute or that she wanted food, and he tried to help her, the affidavit alleges.

Williams also claimed the victim stole money from his wallet and wanted charges filed against her, the affidavit said.

On October 11, 2024, Williams was booked into the Bell County Jail and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
