A police report previously obtained by WMBF News shows that the teenage victim and several friends were approached “in an aggressive manner” by a male suspect who made racist comments. The male suspect then allegedly assaulted the 13-year-old.

WMBF News also obtained footage of the encounter.

The footage shows the suspect, who is white, rushing towards the victim and grabbing him by the shirt before punching him in the head and neck. A woman intervened and pushed the suspect away. A woman’s voice can also be heard making racist comments.

Police are investigating after a suspect allegedly made racist comments before attacking a teen in Horry County last weekend.

As of November 19, it is unclear if any arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the HCPD at 843-915-8477.
