Hong Kong police escort British suspect back to the scene of the alleged murder of an Indonesian helper

Hong Kong police have taken a British man arrested on suspicion of murder to a park in Pok Fu Lam where an Indonesian helper is believed to have jumped on her. dead after the married businessman wanted to end their affair.

Sources told the Post on Wednesday that the investigation into the case, which was still classified as a homicide, was ongoing and officers were investigating the circumstances of the death.

Officers escorted the suspect, a 34-year-old British national with a Hong Kong identity card, back to Waterfall Bay Park near Wah Fu Estate for about an hour in the afternoon. He was held in handcuffs and with a chain around his waist.

The revelation about the affair and the alleged cause of death followed arrest of the man and his wife, a 36-year-old woman from the neighborhood, a day earlier in connection with the suspected murder of the domestic worker. The woman’s body was discovered near the waterfall.

The Post understands that preliminary investigations have shown that the man runs a café in Central and has had an extramarital affair with the helper.

The Brit and the Indonesian started their relationship after meeting on the streets of Central, a source said.
