She left the ITV series after a plot to kidnap, rape and murder her was exposed. Security guard Gavin Plumb, 37, was later jailed for life for the plot.

Holly’s departure from the daytime programme after 14 years also followed a difficult few months after co-presenter Phillip Schofield left.

Holly is now back on television, co-presenting Dancing On Ice with Stephen Mulhern. The NTAs are an important return to the spotlight for the presenter, who had significantly reduced her workload.

She will be able to meet her friends from This Morning, including Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond, who is in the running for an award in the TV presenter category.

Schoolchildren who ditched their smartphones for three weeks are the focus of a Channel 4 two-part series presented by Emma and Matt Willis.

The 12 and 13 year olds of Stanway School in Colchester are part of a study by the University of York into how teenagers’ behaviour changes without a phone.

For 21 days, the group will perform cognitive tasks that test attention, reaction speed and memory to see if this actually affects their brain function.

Swiped: The School That Banned Smartphones will also feature input from Dr Rangan Chatterjee, expert scientists, campaigners and politicians.

Emma and Matt said: “We are intrigued by the results of the experiment and hope it can create change and have a lasting and positive impact on everyone.”

A powerful documentary will provide a harrowing look at the Hamas attacks on the Nova Music Festival in Israel. Surviving October 7th: We Will Dance Again uses the testimonies of survivors of the horror in the Negev desert. It will be broadcast on BBC Two and iPlayer on 26 September at 9pm.

He complained bitterly about the attention his famous ‘lunch box’ received during his athletics career.

But that doesn’t mean Linford Christie didn’t want to make money from it.

The former Olympic sprinter even turned down offers to feature his father, in order to save his father from embarrassment.

He told Russell Howard on his Wonderbox podcast: “The weirdest offers? I’ve gotten a bunch of them to pose nude. I thought, the money was good.

“But my father always said, ‘If you do something that I’m ashamed of, just remember that I go to church on Sunday and I want to sit at the front. I want to be able to walk in with my head held high.’

“It was tempting, but I would never do that.”
