Hokies lacrosse places 15th on IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Virginia Tech Lacrosse has named 15 student-athletes to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association’s 2024 Division I Academic Honor Roll, the organization announced Wednesday.

The IWLCA honored 1,163 student-athletes from 113 different institutions on the 2024 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Tech’s recipients include: Mackenzie Beam, Kayla Downey, Sydney Golini, Mary Griffin, Kacie Hanson, Lilly Kannapell, Gracie Kennedy, Elizabeth Labbe, Ainsley Malamala, Katie McCarthy, Emma Monte, Grace New, Bridget Noonan, Paige Tyson and Olivia Vergano.

The Hokies were also named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, a prestige award for teams that achieve a team GPA of 3.2 or higher for the academic year.
