‘Here we go’ – Fabrizio Romano gives update on Man United target

Midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who is on a free transfer and is targeting Manchester United, is getting closer to a move to Olympique Marseille, according to transfer news specialist Fabrizio Romano.

The midfielder was a free agent this summer after leaving Juventus and has since been linked with a number of different clubs in Europe, most notably Man United.

The Red Devils have made major changes to their squad this summer, with the club also focusing on midfield.

Scott McTominay was the standout player to depart from the midfield position this summer, while Manuel Ugarte joined the club.

Casemiro’s form shows the Red Devils need more midfield reinforcements, while Christian Eriksen is nearing the end of his career and United’s hierarchy need to make changes in midfield.

According to sources at Caught Offside, Man United were interested in the French midfielder and wanted to sign him this summer.

According to Romano, the midfielder is now leaving for France again to play for Marseille.

The Italian journalist posted the following on his X account:

“Olympique Marseille are in advanced talks to sign Adrien Rabiot as their new midfielder!

“Negotiations are taking place with Rabiot regarding the contract terms.

“OM is optimistic that it will be ready within 48 hours — here we go, expected soon!”

Man United target Adrien Rabiot is set to join Marseille.

Man United return to form after poor start

The Red Devils will be happy to be back on track after beating Southampton in the opening stages on Saturday.

Erik ten Hag’s team won the match 3-0, thanks to goals from Matthijs de Ligt, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho.

After a poor start to the season, they finally have something to celebrate and build on.

The Red Devils will face Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa in the next Premier League.
