Here are 15 glorious minutes of Dead Cells creator Windblown’s next game

Motion Twin has given us a 15-minute sneak peek at the sequel to the critically acclaimed action-platformer Dead Cells: Windblown.

The unabridged segment takes us through the basics, offering a largely spoiler-free insight into “what it’s like to step into the shoes of a Leaper for the first time.”

To save you the hassle of searching, here’s the full fifteen-minute story:

Windblown First 15 minutes of Single Player. Watch on YouTube

“In Windblown, players will leap at breakneck speeds across vast, ever-changing islands in the sky, while using a variety of powerful weapons to destroy the Sentinels: deadly minions of the Vortex threatening their homeland,” teases Motion Twin.

“Movement is simple yet precise, with dashes launching the player between floating islands and platforms, dodging deadly Sentinel attacks, and moving toward the player’s next inevitable encounter. From the first leap into the Fall biome and beyond, players will overcome countless opponents while collecting various weapons, trinkets, gifts, and fish to unleash their Leaper’s full potential.”

While we still don’t have a firm release date, the end of the teaser reveals that Motion Twin still plans to release the game in Early Access on PC in 2024… and of course, there’s only three months of 2024 left.

Motion Twin’s Windblown was announced late last year. Described as “tough but always fair,” it’s a combat-focused adventure – playable solo or with up to three friends online – in which players play as Leapers, warriors tasked with protecting their homeworld, The Ark, from the deadly Vortex and its Sentinel minions.
