Heather Cowell and Lauren Torley sign new contracts with Harlequins

Paris Olympic competitors Heather Cowell and Lauren Torley have signed new contracts with Harlequins.

Winger Cowell, 28, begins her seventh season at Quins after representing Great Britain’s rugby sevens team in France.

Cowell was part of Harlequins’ title-winning team in 2020-21.

Fullback Torley, 24, begins her third season at the club after joining from DMP Sharks in 2022.

The duration of their contracts has not been disclosed.

Both players represented England in the sevens at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Great Britain will play Ireland, Australia and South Africa in Pool B in Paris, starting with Ireland on Sunday.
