Sachin Tendulkar also explained why he would prefer to play an opening role in cricket, along with Roger Federer. On the Swiss maestro’s connection with cricket, Tendulkar said, “He has cricket connections, his mother is from South Africa and he follows cricket and when we sat and chatted, we discussed a lot of cricket and not just tennis. So it has to be Roger.”
