As part of an agreement with FESAWith the aim of preventing youth violence in socially vulnerable areas of the country, HanesBrands built its “Viviendo Verde” (Green for Good) sports complex at its textile and sock facility in San Juan Opico, El Salvador in 2014. Funded by its Green for the good program, the complex now consists of a high-quality football field, basketball courts and volleyball courts.

HanesBrands launched its global Green for Good program in 2010, a unique project that leverages savings from its recycling program efforts to fund critical community improvement projects.

“We know that by promoting sports we contribute to the formation of better citizens, who will be more committed to the principles of teamwork, solidarity and discipline, and who will adopt strong values ​​necessary to build a better El Salvador,” he said.
