Gwen Stefani cancels Atlantic City concert due to ‘recent injury’ after consulting with doctors: ‘I’m so sorry’

Gwen Stefani announced that she had to cancel an upcoming concert due to a “recent injury,” the name of which has not been released.

On Saturday, the 54-year-old singer told her fans via Instagram Stories that she will not be able to perform on stage during her planned tour in Atlantic City, New Jersey next weekend.

“Due to a recent injury and in consultation with my doctors, I have been informed that I will not be able to perform at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City on August 17th,” the “Hollaback Girl” singer wrote against a black background.

Stefani continued, “I’m so sorry, but we’re trying to reschedule the show as soon as possible.”

“Ticketmaster will email ticket holders once the new show is announced. Current tickets will remain valid for the new date,” they added.

According to Stefani’s website, she is scheduled to go on three more tours before the end of the year.

The three-time Grammy Award winner will perform at the 2024 iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 20, the South Star Music Festival in Huntsville, Alabama on September 28 and Live Out Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico on October 12.

Stefani recently collaborated with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder and singer-songwriter Anderson .Paak for The Coca-Cola Company and the International Olympic Committee’s official song for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, titled “Hello World.”

Tedder wrote and produced the song, which was performed by Stefani and Paak. “Hello World” was released on July 25, the day before the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

“We are thrilled to officially launch ‘Hello World’ for Paris 2024, in partnership with The Coca-Cola Company and the International Olympic Committee (IOC),” Stefani said in a statement to People magazine.

“We hope ‘Hello World’ inspires positivity as the world comes together to celebrate the Olympic Games,” she added.

On July 28, Stefani celebrated the collaboration on Instagram by posting a video of her and Paak dancing and hugging while performing “Hello World” in front of the Olympic rings.

“I feel so honored to have collaborated on “Hello World” with @anderson._paak and @ryantedder for the Olympics,” she wrote in the caption. “Streaming now 🙂 gx.”

Stefani will also return as a coach on the hit singing competition series “The Voice,” alongside Snoop Dogg co-stars Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé.

The husband of California native Blake Shelton was a coach on ‘The Voice’ for 23 seasons before leaving the show in May 2023.

Stefani and Shelton recently collaborated on the duet “Purple Irises,” which premiered in February.

Season 26 of “The Voice” premieres September 23 on NBC.
