Greek man accused of raping two minors in Erie County

A Monroe County man is facing several charges for allegedly sexually assaulting two minors in Erie County.

According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Ahmed Yaqoob drove from Greece to North Collins in October and picked up two girls, ages 12 and 14.

He then allegedly drove to a remote area in Concord where he sexually abused both children.

Yaqoob was arrested Friday and charged with predatory sexual assault of a child under 13 and two counts of rape.

He remains in custody after being arraigned and booked into jail on $25,000 bail, deputies said.
