Grand Rapids’ Micah Miller signs AHL contract with the Hershey Bears

Soon, Hunter Shepard won’t be the only former hockey player from Grand Rapids playing for the Hershey Bears.

Micah Miller, the 2017 Thunderhawks captain, has signed a one-year AHL contract with the Hershey Bears for the 2024-25 season.

Miller skated for St. Cloud State University for five seasons from 2018 to 2023, wearing an ‘A’ in his final season. He scored a total of 71 points with the Huskies.

The forward played five games with the Tucson Roadrunners of the AHL in the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons. He played most of last year with the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL. In 63 games, he scored 23 goals and 18 assists.
