Softspikes won the four major men’s championships in 2024, thanks to Xander Schaffer’s victory in the Open Championship.

The winner wore the brand’s PINS ThinTech spikes in his Adidas Tour 360 shoes to win the Claret Jug and his second Major title of the year, following his victory at the PGA Championship.

By being crowned Champion Golfer of the Year, Schauffele will be the 27e PGA Tour winner who wore Softspikes in the last 31 PGA Tour events. In addition, 80% of the field at Royal Troon wore Softspikes throughout the race on the extremely challenging Ayrshire layout.

Joe Henderson, President of Softspikes, said: “The final round of The Open was an absolutely thrilling spectacle and we are delighted that the winner produced such an incredible performance, wearing replaceable spikes, to not only win his second Major but also complete a clean sweep of this year’s Majors by players who chose to compete at Softspikes.”

Tour players regularly change grips and traction based on course conditions, but amateur golfers rarely think about the impact wearing spikes has on consistency and distance. To achieve optimal performance benefits, golfers should change their spikes every 15 rounds.
