Gloucestershire v Glamorgan – Preview

Glamorgan selectors have named a 15-man squad for the Vitality County Championship as we travel to Cheltenham to take on Gloucestershire.

After a thrilling match against Northamptonshire which ended in a draw on Wednesday, Glamorgan now play Gloucestershire at the College Ground in Cheltenham. The match kicks off on Sunday 30th June.

Glamorgan’s batters almost completed a victory trying to score 262 runs in 39 overs. Marnus Labuschagne scored half-centuries in both innings, while Kiran Carlson, Chris Cooke and Mason Crane scored half-centuries in the first innings. Mason Crane showed his all-round performance with both bat and ball.

James Harris and Colin Ingram have been rested for this match. Dan Douthwaite comes in to strengthen the batting and pace bowling.

“There are many positives to take away from the Northants battle, with all three results in play right up to the final stages.

“Although we felt we had the upper hand for most of the game, getting 20 points was the piece of the puzzle we were missing.

“We are all looking forward to Cheltenham starting on Sunday and another chance to move up.”
