Give me the belt, I want it

Former UFC women’s flyweight champion Rose Namajunas of the United States has announced her plans following her victory over fellow American Tracy Cortez.

Namajunas said in a post-match interview:

What do I want now? Give me the belt, man. I want it. Either that or maybe a women’s BMF (title fight), I don’t know.

Namajunas, 31, last fought at UFC on ESPN 53 in March 2024, defeating Amanda Ribas via unanimous decision. She has 13 wins and six losses to her name.

Cortez, 30, previously stepped into the octagon in September 2023 at UFC Fight Night 227, where she defeated Jasmine Jasudavicius by unanimous decision. She has 11 wins and two losses to her name.
