Giants WR Malik Nabers will miss the game against the Seahawks due to a concussion

The Giants have ruled out wide receiver Malik Nabers for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Nabers remains in the concussion protocol after being hurt during their Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Late in the game, the Giants went for it on fourth down and Nabers tried to make a catch along the sideline. He did not come with the ball and remained down before being attended to by the team’s athletic trainers.

The rookie wideout was then taken to the locker room for the remainder of the game. He was later ruled out due to concussion.

Head coach Brian Daboll said this week that Nabers would get as much time as possible to get a shot against the Seahawks. But on Friday, Nabers was officially excluded.

Each player participating in the concussion protocol must complete five phases: Symptom Restricted Activity, Aerobic Exercise, Football Specific Exercise, Club-Based Non-Concussion Training Drills, Full Football Activity/Release. Recovery time varies from player to player.

Through four weeks, Nabers has an NFL-best 35 receptions for 386 yards and three touchdowns.
