Befitting a game designed to test your knowledge of the world, players from all over the world meet on a large stage for the 2024 Geo guy World CupIn Stockholm, Sweden, several talented players compete against each other, with a prize pool of $50,000 at stake.

After hosting the inaugural season in 2023, the creators of Geo guy are back from Wednesday, September 11th through Saturday, September 14th, as 24 players battle it out for global supremacy on a virtual scale. With four groups kicking off the tournament, there’s plenty of action on the schedule as people make their way from Tokyo to Toronto and everywhere in between.

GeoGuessr World Cup 2024 Players & Format

The 24 players attending the 2024 Geo guy World Cup are divided into four groups and in best-of-three matches. Every player will compete in five matchesand the The winner of each group advances to the play-offsHowever, the players in second and third place were will be sent to the knockout stage.

In the knockout stage players play will be divided into four separate, best-of-five matcheswhere each winner will go to the play-offs. In the play-offs, the remaining players will be a best-of-five, single-elimination bracket for the championshipAll competitors earned their spot in the event through their regional final or wildcard event.
