Gary Neville joins NBC Sports as Premier League contributor for the 2024-25 season

Gary Neville has joined NBC Sports as a special contributor for the network’s Premier League coverage for the 2024-25 season.

The 49-year-old former Manchester United defender will contribute to the US network’s studio coverage every Sunday throughout the season, in addition to his work as a commentator for Sky Sports in the UK.

Neville will make his NBC debut on Friday (August 16) when he covers the Premier League opener between his former club United and Fulham at Old Trafford. He will also be seen on Sunday (August 18) when Brentford host Crystal Palace and Chelsea play Manchester City.

Earlier this month, Neville became the majority shareholder at League Two club Salford City after taking over shares from Peter Lim.

NBC has been broadcasting Premier League matches to fans in the U.S. since the 2013-14 season. The current deal runs through 2027-28 and gives fans across the Atlantic access to all matches on the network’s sports channels. Select matches will also air each week on Spanish-language channels Universo and Telemundo.

All 380 Premier League matches will be broadcast live on NBCUniversal platforms including NBC, Peacock (which will broadcast at least 175 matches exclusively) and USA Network.

The NBC Sports studio team is led by Rebecca Lowe, who is joined by analysts Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe, Tim Howard and Danny Higginbotham. The commentary team includes Jon Champion and Peter Drury, and Lee Dixon and Graeme Le Saux.

As a player, Neville spent his entire club career at Manchester United, making over 600 first-team appearances and winning 21 trophies, including eight Premier League trophies, while captaining the club for five seasons. The former right-back made 85 appearances for England.

In the 2015–16 season he briefly ventured into management at Valencia, where he won 10 of 28 games as manager.

Neville has become one of England’s leading football analysts since his retirement, joining Sky Sports at the start of the 2011-12 season.
