Fulham have resumed negotiations with Manchester United over Scott McTominay.

Napoli are also interested but would prefer a loan deal, with Fulham having a £20m bid rejected earlier this month.

McTominay has just one year left on his contract at United, although the club have the option to extend it for a further 12 months.

The 27-year-old comes through United’s youth academy and has made over 250 appearances for the club since making his debut in April 2017.

Last season he also scored his best goals ever for the Red Devils, with 10 goals.

However, United may want to let the Scotland international leave to fund a midfield overhaul.

Two players that the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on are Burnley’s Sander Berge and Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte.

United have made a bid for Berge but are yet to meet the £30m asking price, while PSG’s Ugarte is in favour if they lower the asking price.

Ugarte was not involved in PSG’s Ligue 1 season opener against Le Havre last Friday amid the latest transfer rumours.

Currently, PSG are still willing to sell Ugarte, but they do not want to lower the price from the £52m they paid Sporting to sign him in July last year.

Ugarte made 37 appearances for the French heavyweights last season, helping the club win Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France.

As for Berge, he was not involved in either of Burnley’s first two games in the Championship under new manager Scott Parker.

However, Parker stated that Berge’s absence for the season opener against Luton was due to ‘a minor injury’, which later turned out to be a minor injury to his quadriceps.

Although Parker had hoped to have Berge back in time for the Cardiff match, it ultimately came too soon.

Berge left Sheffield United for the Clarets last summer, but was unable to halt the club’s slide back to the Championship.
