Fulham agree £12.7m transfer fee with £4m extra for Rayan Cherki, but Lyon midfielder uncertain over move to Craven Cottage

Fulham agreed a £12.7m transfer fee with £4m in bonuses for Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki on Wednesday night, but the 21-year-old is yet to make a move.

Cherki, who made his debut for Lyon when he was just 16, played 141 games for the French club, scoring 17 goals and providing 25 assists during that period.

Fulham have long been interested in Cherki, after a deal was discussed during the January transfer window.

Cherki was part of the French team that finished second behind Spain at the Olympic Games.

Cherki was highly rated as a young player and played for France in the Under-21 category.

Fulham have already made one statement by signing Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal for £27m in this transfer window.

Marco Silva’s team have also signed defender Jorge Cuenca, while Ryan Sessegnon returns to the club.

The Cottagers are also set to sign Joachim Andersen from Crystal Palace for £30million, including bonuses.
