FPL tips and team of the week: Bukayo Saka the best captain choice for Gameweek Six

Bukayo Saka (captain), Arsenal, midfielder, £10m – home of Leicester City

This guy is about as reliable as there is in FPL. A return every game so far, but it still feels like he’s not in top form yet.

Why captain Saka over Haaland? This is a tough decision and it’s okay to play it safer with Manchester City’s star man.

Saka, who scored 16 goals last season, is a positive choice and it feels like Arsenal will rebel against Leicester at home.

Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal, midfielder, £6.9m – home of Leicester City

Martinelli’s FPL stock plummeted last season and he has just one return in 2024-2025.

However, this is a gut feeling: everything is there for the Brazilian to have a good game and give us a glimpse of the 22-23 Martinelli.

Luis Diaz, Liverpool, midfielder, £8m – away from Wolves

The Colombian is flying this season and is even ahead of teammate Salah in the FPL points table.

Diaz is outperforming all his underlying numbers, but sometimes you just have to deal with it, especially in a team that can’t afford Salah.

As long as you’re prepared for an arbitrary benching, Diaz is excellent value at £7.9m and faces a Wolves side who have scored fourteen goals so far this season.

Antoine Semenyo, Bournemouth, midfielder, £5.6m – home of Southampton

Semenyo is a favorite in this section and still tops the charts among all midfielders in terms of shots made, with 24.

Bournemouth have not scored in two games (defeats to Chelsea and Liverpool), but they are a team that, if everything goes right, can achieve a big victory.

In both previous matches they had 19 shots on target. It’s hard to imagine Southampton keeping them out here if they can repeat that.

Bryan Mbeumo, Brentford, midfielder, £7.2m – home of West Ham

The Cameroonian forward is the best FPL player so far this season.

Four goals in three games, with only zero in two of the toughest away games in the league: at Liverpool and Manchester City.

Get it in your lineup, play it every week and enjoy it.
