Fourteen Badgers Invited to USA Hockey National Festival

LAKE PLACID, NY — Fourteen current and former members of the Wisconsin women’s hockey team have earned invitations to the 2024 USA Hockey National Festival, the organization announced Thursday.

Current ties Eden lace, Laila Edwards, Cassie Hal, Caroline Harvey, Vivian Jungels, Ava McNaughton, Casey O’Brien, Laney Potter And Kirsten Simms all earned a spot at the eight-day camp at The Olympic Center, along with former Badgers Britta KrulJesse Compher, Hilary Knight, Abby Roque and Anna Wilgren.

The festival features 75 players currently playing professionally or at the collegiate level. The festival is held concurrently with an evaluation camp for players under 18, also in Lake Placid.

Following the two events, USA Hockey will select the rosters for the US Under-18 Select and US Collegiate Select teams, which will each take on Canada in a three-game series at the Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario, from August 14-17.
