Former UFC Fighter James Vick Suffers Brutal KO Loss to Rafael Alves at Karate Combat (Video)

Former UFC fighter James Vick suffered a brutal knockout defeat to Rafael Alves last night at Karate Combat.

James Vick used to be considered a real contender in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. However, after a brutal knockout loss to Justin Gaethje, everything changed. He quickly fell down the ladder of relevance until he was eventually released from his contract. He continued to test the waters outside of the promotion, but for whatever reason, he was never really able to get back on his feet.

He recently chose to sign for Karate Combat. While they may not be on the same level as the UFC, they have certainly taken some substantial steps to make a name for themselves in the combat sports world. There is still a long way to go, but the early signs are certainly promising, especially after an event like earlier this week.

Unfortunately for Vick, as part of that show, he found himself on the wrong end of an utterly devastating knockout loss at the hands of Rafael Alves.
