Former employee at Colorado Springs children’s nonprofit, convicted of sexual assault of a child

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KKTV) – A man in his 70s who once worked for a children’s nonprofit was convicted of sexually assaulting a child.

Shortly after his arrest, Fountain police say they identified multiple victims from 2014.

Carl Ray Jordan was arrested last October on charges of sexual assault of a child by someone in a position of trust. Fountain police said detectives were first tipped off to the alleged 2014 assault on Halloween.

“For the past four years, Jordan has been an employee of Griffith Centers for Children Chins in Colorado Springs,” Fountain Police wrote in their original press release.

On Monday, Fountain police announced that Jordan had been found guilty of three counts of sexual assault of a child by someone in a position of trust, along with aggravated incest. He was sentenced to 44 years in prison on Friday.
