Fnatic is known for its competitive esports efforts, but the company has a long-standing hardware segment that has historically produced mice, headsets, keyboards, and mousepads. Fnatic recently launched an all-new mousepad called the Dash2. The company is leveraging its competitive experience and getting input from its players into the development of new products, such as the aforementioned mousepad and the STREAK series of keyboards.

Interestingly enough, the new mouse was actually co-developed by Fnatic and Lamzu, a company that specializes in high-end peripherals. An original version of the mouse was launched earlier this year and was well-received by critics and consumers. This isn’t the first collaboration between the two companies; Fnatic already sells a modified version of the Lamzu Thorn mouse on its website.

The Fnatic version comes in a bright orange color scheme and features the Fnatic logo alongside the Lamzu one. Overall, the Fnatic version has different switches (Omron vs Huano) and comes with the upgraded 8K dongle in the box – Lamzu ships the MAYA with a 4K dongle, with the 8K dongle available to purchase separately.

The MAYA is an ultra-light gaming mouse that comes in two sizes, the larger of which is called the MAYA X. The MAYA weighs in at around 45 grams for the smaller version and 47 grams for the larger version. The two mice differ slightly in shape. Both versions are the same internally, with the Pixart 3950 sensor, one of the best on the market, an 80-hour battery life, and an 8,000Hz polling rate. These specifications put the MAYA in line with other flagship products, such as the Razer Viper V3 Pro.

No pricing information was shared, but the Lamzu MAYA 4K is currently selling for £78 on the Lamzu website. The mouse will ship to customers from September 2024.
