Remember that time we thought there was no way we were going to get a “Sam LaPorta” season – aka TE1 – from Las Vegas Raiders rookie TE Brock Bowers?

Yes… we can ignore that story; After five weeks, it seems like a real possibility, as Bowers is the overall TE1 in the entire PPR scoring leagues heading into Week 6, leading all tight ends in targets (35), catches (28) and yards receiving (313), while ranking second (behind only Dallas Goedert) in yards per route run (2.27). Not bad for a newcomer to an offense that hasn’t even signed a starting quarterback for Week 6, right?

Even with Aidan O’Connell taking center stage for the Raiders this week, expect Bowers to be at the forefront of the game plan at home without star Davante Adams as they host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6. While this was a tough defensive matchup overall, teams are pitted against middle-of-the-pack teams against fantasy tight ends, which could put him in position for another big fantasy day just a week after scoring his first NFL touchdown.
