Fabrizio Romano provides update on Man United double deal

Manchester United are hoping to continue the transfer market with the arrival of Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.

The Red Devils are showing ambition on the transfer market this summer after the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe to the club.

This summer they have already signed Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro and they are determined to sign even more players to improve the quality of the squad.

After their eighth-place finish in the Premier League and poor performance in the Champions League, it was clear that United would be forced to sign players on the player market to strengthen their squad and improve overall quality.

Bayern have rejected United’s offer for their defensive duo, but according to Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League giants are willing to try again and have already reached an agreement with the players to move to Old Trafford.

Romano revealed on his YouTube channel that both players are interested in a move to Man United and that the Red Devils are willing to make them better offers.

He said:

“After the approaches they had weeks ago on the player side, because Manchester United have an agreement with Mazraoui, a five-year contract with an option, have an agreement with Matthijs de Ligt, a five-year contract with an option, both players want to go to United, we know that.”

The club are in need of a new right-back and centre-back as Aaron Wan-Bissaka inches closer to a move away from Old Trafford.

United were desperate for a new player for the central defensive line, but Yoro’s injury has increased the need for a new player for the central defensive position.

Man United have an agreement with both players

Both players that Man United want to acquire from Bayern Munich played under manager Erik ten Hag during their joint Ajax period.

The manager knows both players well and is keen to add them to his squad.
