Error in Pima County Primary Election Date on Sample Ballots

Sample ballots mailed to voter households last week contained the incorrect date for the July 30, 2024, primary election. The title page of the sample ballot had the correct date of July 30, but the pages listing the 126 polling places contained the date of August 30, 2024 at the top.

The Electoral Department has sent a postcard to all voter households that received a ballot paper, showing the incorrect date and the correct date in prominent text

Pima County Administrator Jan Lesher called the error “unfortunate and regrettable” in a memo to the Board of Supervisors and said Elections is taking steps to ensure the accuracy of future communications.
