England vs South Africa live score, T20 World Cup 2024 match today: England will take on South Africa in a Group 2 Super 8 match of T20 World Cup 2024 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia on Friday.

Jos Buttler’s side will be high on confidence after holding off the West Indian juggernaut with a comfortable win. West Indies were cruising at one point before England’s bowlers rallied to restrict the batters with a whopping 51 run deliveries – the most ever in a T20I score of 180 or more. The batters then made the most of an excellent batting deck at the venue and chased down the target with more than two overs to spare. Meanwhile, South Africa has recorded five wins, albeit by nervous margins. The Proteas clicked together for once against the United States, posting 194. However, the bowlers took the game to the limit before a Kagiso Rabada wrapped up the win.

With the matches in St Lucia favoring the batters, one can expect a high-scoring affair, the outcome of which will be decided by the bowling unit with the stronger pace on the day.

Otherwise, the increasing pressure on the strike rate will cause indecision and impatience among the middle class of Markram, Klaasen and Miller. After trying to perform the anchor/attack tasks for a short while, they tend to meditate their big shots a bit frantically in an attempt to speed up, which further upsets the apple cart. England, who have neatly strangled the West Indian torsos of Nicholas Pooran and Andre Russell, will no doubt exploit this fragility even if Saffers does not get drawn into one of their failed chasing ways and bats first.
