Emily Fox wins Olympic gold with US | News

Emily Fox is officially an Olympic champion after the US women’s national team defeated Brazil in the gold medal match at Paris 2024.

Our right back played every minute of the final, which was decided by a goal from Mallory Swanson in the 57th minute.

Fox played in every match of the tournament, helping the US to a historic fifth gold medal, their first since London 2012. This is her Olympic debut.

Elsewhere, former Gunner Rafaelle Souza came off the bench for Brazil late in the second half. The match also marked the retirement of a true legend of the game, Marta, who hung up her boots after an incredible fifth Olympic Games.
