Elks Lodge is hosting a fundraiser for a DPS officer

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Community members showed up in droves for a fundraiser for injured DPS officer Patrick Timms, who was injured in an off-duty accident earlier this month.

The fundraiser took place at the Elks Lodge and featured live music, a silent auction and a special lunch deal, with proceeds going to Timms and his family.

DPS Sgt. Adrian Briseno said Timms’ impact on the community was reflected in the number of people who supported him.

“He’s well known, he’s done a lot for a lot of people here and we just want to show his appreciation for him, for everything he’s done, not just for the department but for this community here. And as you can see, a lot of people came out to show their support for him,” Briseno said.
