Elijah Vue’s mother pleads not guilty to all charges, next court hearing is scheduled

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – During a hearing Wednesday morning, the Wisconsin mother charged in connection with the death of her three-year-old son, Elijah Vue, entered not guilty pleas to the court. new charges in the case.

Katrina Baur, 31, has been charged with chronic neglect of a child resulting in death, neglect of a child under the age of 6 or with a disability, and two counts of resisting an officer.

On October 21 Baur waived her preliminary hearing and on Wednesday, October 30, Baur pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Her boyfriend, 39-year-old Jesse Vang, faces more serious charges. Vang appeared in court on October 24 for a status conference with a preliminary hearing scheduled for November 6.

Vang is charged with physical abuse of a child resulting in death – repeated acts resulting in death, concealing a corpse and resisting or obstructing an officer.

Charges against Baur and Vang were filed afterward authorities found Elijah Vue’s remains months after he was reported missing.

Baur’s next court appearance is scheduled for February 2025.
