Alfie later confronted Tommy at the boxing gym. He rejected the teen’s reasoning that it was an “accident” and said it was now becoming a pattern. Tommy claimed his outbursts were caused by his mother’s romantic history, which Alfie was unhappy with.

Pinning him against the boxing ring, Alfie warned Tommy that he would ‘drag’ him to social services if he spoke about Kat in the same way again, while Freddie – who was campaigning for jailed Sonia Fowler – arrived to intervene in the boxing ring. fiery exchange.

Freddie and Alfie returned to Kat to inform her of the situation. Kat reasoned that they should treat Tommy like “an adult” in an effort to improve his behavior, adding that she “wouldn’t give up” on her son.

Alfie, Kat and Tommy sat around the table in an attempt to heal the wounds of the past, and Tommy said he felt constantly under pressure. After appearing to break new ground, he accompanied Alfie to the local Chinese takeaway for a family dinner.

Just when it looked like the family was making progress, Alfie confided in Freddie about his problems with Tommy, who was upset to hear his stepfather calling him a “little thug”. This led to a disaster at the dinner table, with Tommy treating his younger brothers terribly.

Freddie tried to intervene again, but Tommy lashed out. This led to a scuffle where Freddie accidentally put Tommy on the floor, increasing his anger as he trashed the room.

After Freddie explained it was an accident, Tommy retaliated by pouring hot soup on his cousin’s arm and confronting Alfie. As he left the room by slamming the door, Kat and Alfie watched in horror after their son’s latest outburst.
