EA SPORTS FC 25 release date and special editions leaked; reveal possible soon

EA Sports has yet to release any official details about this year’s edition of its annual soccer franchise, which is now titled EA Sport FC — but the unveiling could happen as early as this week.

According to prolific game leaker Billbil-Kun (via Dealabs ), EA Sports FC 25 will likely be revealed within the next ten days. Additionally, the leak claims that this year’s game will be released on September 27, 2024.

The release date rumors are pretty much in line with EA’s track record. EA’s previous FIFA games and also those from last year EA Sport FC 24 — the first installment in the new EA Sports FC series following the publisher’s split with FIFA — are all typically released between mid- to late-September. EA Sport FC 24 was released on September 29, 2024.

In addition to the release date, the site also includes reports on the different editions that will be offered and their prices. This year’s game will reportedly have two purchase options: Standard and Ultimate. The Standard Edition will cost $69.99, while the Ultimate Edition will cost $99.99 and includes seven days of early access starting on September 20. EA Play subscribers will also get early access via a 10-hour trial.

These editions are also in line with what EA is doing with its football franchise. EA Sport College Football 25 And Madden NFL 25 can be purchased as a Standard Edition or Deluxe Edition, with the latter offering three days early access. The prices are also similar, at $69.99 and $99.99 respectively.

Platforms for EA Sport FC 25 were not leaked, but the franchise is generally offered on all available consoles, including last-gen systems, simply because of how popular football is worldwide. Last year EA Sport FC 24 was available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It’s worth noting, however, that certain features like HyperMotion and AcceleRATE were only offered on newer consoles.

With Euro 2024 currently taking place, some suspect that EA will wait until the final on Sunday, July 14 to announce the results. EA Sport FC 25UEFA partners with EA for the EA Sport FC franchise, so there is a good chance that the announcement is related to the tournament.

EA’s long-running soccer franchise was previously released under the FIFA banner, but the nearly three-decade partnership ended after the release of FIFA23As a result, the franchise underwent a name change to EA Sport FC and got a new logo, officially starting business EA Sport FC 24 last year.
