EA FC 25 Live Tuning 1 Update nerfs speed boost and airlobs

In a big surprise, EA FC25 has received the Live Tuning 1 Update, which brings some major gameplay changes.

Unlike Title Update 1, players will not need to download major patches as the changes will be applied in real time. EA Sports has already uploaded the patch notes for the first update, which can be viewed on the official Trello. While there are exactly three changes in this patch, they are all sure to have a major impact on gameplay.

EA FC 25 Live Tuning 1 Update Patch Notes

If you’ve been focusing on the recent meta within EA FC25you know how effective first lob passes and speed boosts have been. Combining the R2 and L1 buttons has often resulted in skilled players creating a lot of space, which often seemed unnatural. It has now been proven that incidents from the recent past were all unintended results.

  • The height of the ball trajectory has been reduced for lobbed passes and crosses in Rush matches.

Decreased accuracy of first lobed passes and lobed passes from acute angles.

Fixed the following issue:

  • (PS5/PC/XBSX|S only) Reduced instances of players unintentionally accelerating quickly when requesting a Sprint.

Lobbed passes and lobbed passes have been unrealistically accurate in some cases. That problem would occur after the first Live Update EA FC25. A much more significant change, however, is the complete nerf of the R2 speed boost.

According to EA Sports, the space players created happened unintentionally quickly. It is unclear how big the change is for the developers. One thing is certain: this one shift will have a huge impact on the market. Certain cards have already been panic-sold by some of the community, and there could be bigger consequences ahead of the next Champions Final.
