Duluth Police respond to a vehicle versus motorcycle crash

Duluth Police responded to a report of a vehicle versus motorcycle crash at the intersection of Maple Grove Road and Burning Tree at 2:15 p.m.

Police say the initial investigation shows a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Maple Grove and turned left on Burning Tree at a yellow arrow. The motorcyclist was traveling west on Maple Grove from Mall Drive. The motorcyclist was traveling at high speed and collided with the car.

The motorcyclist was thrown into a fence, suffered significant injuries and was transported to a local hospital. It is said that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

This is an ongoing investigation.
