DPS confirms three Buena Vista students died in a crash

IMPERIAL, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – UPDATE: According to DPS, three Buena Vista ISD students were killed in a two-vehicle crash on FM 1053 on Wednesday, November 20 around 7 p.m. One student was transported to a local hospital.

No further information is currently available.

Buena Vista ISD said it will be closed on Thursday, November 20 and Friday, November 21.

According to a message from the school district, this closure is the result of a “tragic accident.” While there is no word yet on what happened, the district said the counselors will be available to all students and staff.
