Downstait teases a new wrestling theme song in the works

Downstait has become synonymous with one of WWE’s most beloved theme songs, “Kingdom,” famously used by Cody Rhodes for his ring entrances. Their collaboration with WWE started with The Miz’s theme and continues with hints of new music for another wrestler.

Speaking at Reffin It Up, guitarist Justin Call said the band is always working on someone else. Singer Zack Call added that they prefer to keep their projects under wraps until artists start promoting them. He noted that their recent focus has been on re-branding efforts, expressing a sense of pride in their track record.

“We like to keep it under wraps until the artist comes out and they start doing some of the promotion on their end. Most of what we’re doing right now is a rebrand. Not to toot our own horn, but usually when we get a wrestler, he or she, they go somewhere with it. We have a weird lucky charm for all these artists. Looks like they’re going somewhere if they catch us. We have been working with wrestlers non-stop since the beginning of this year.”

Justin emphasized that once they provide the music, it’s up to the wrestlers to make the most of it and made it clear that he won’t reveal who the new song is for.

It’s not our song to spoil. The bottom line is that if we give them the music, it’s up to them to do something with it. They run with it.”

We’ll have to wait and see which pro wrestler will ultimately get a new theme song courtesy of Downstait, as having such a talented band produce their entrance theme song will be a huge win for the pro wrestler.

Which wrestler do you think the new theme song will be for? Sound off in the comments below!
