Does Black Myth: Wukong have difficulty settings?

Black Myth: Wukong is often compared to Soulslikes for its difficulty and grand bosses, but are there settings to change that? If you want to play the game but are worried about the potential for it to be incredibly difficult, here’s what you need to know.

Can you change the difficulty in Black Myth: Wukong?

Unfortunately, Black Myth: Wukong currently has no trouble setting optionsAlthough the game may not be as difficult as Bloodborne, Sekiroor Old Ringthen it will still be quite a challenge.

The only way to truly alleviate the game’s difficulty is to farm levels of Sparks. Use them to further enhance your character’s abilities and hopefully turn the tide against the dozens of bosses you’ll encounter.

You can also skip a handful of bosses if you want, but it’s recommended not to, as they drop new items that can help you later. They also drop crafting materials for better gear and give you huge XP boosts when you defeat them.

You can also upgrade your skills, such as spells and transformations, to deal more damage or use them more often, so use everything you can if some battles are too tough.

Can you summon NPCs or other players in Black Myth: Wukong?

If you were hoping to summon an NPC to take the aggro off of you in boss battles, you can’t. You’re largely alone in this game.

That said, you also can’t summon other players via a co-op or multiplayer session. It’s up to you to engage with the game with the tools you have.

Since Black Myth: Wukong is a single player only game, it may turn off many who need a partner or an edge against these tough bosses. They are definitely not in the same realm as true Soulslikes, but they can still be a headache for many.
