Disney+ in September 2024: ‘Agatha All Along’ Premiere, ‘Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy’, More

New calendar month, new Disney+ deals! The streamer’s light summer continues, but one of the year’s biggest and most anticipated series is set to debut this month: the Marvel Studios/Marvel Television spinoff series “Agatha All Along.” Kathryn Hahn reprises her Emmy-nominated “WandaVision” role as the notorious witch Agatha Hackness as she teams up with some unlikely allies on her quest to reclaim her old powers. “Heartstopper” star Joe Locke co-stars in the new MCU addition, premiering Wednesday, Sept. 18, with new episodes continuing to debut throughout September and October.

Also in September, ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” will premiere its 33rd season, and Disney+ subscribers will be able to watch the new season live along with those with cable. So far, Olympic bronze medalist and pommel horse specialist Stephen Nedoroscik is the only confirmed cast member, but the full roster will be announced the first week of the month.

“LEGO Pixar: BrickToons” Premiere | Wednesday, September 4

The all-new short-form series stars characters from Pixar favorites including “Coco,” “Cars,” “Finding Nemo,” “The Incredibles” and “Brave” on all-new adventures set in the world of LEGO. The five-episode collection kicks off with “Coco: Family Bands Together,” a new adventure featuring Miguel and Hector from the Oscar-winning 2017 film.

“LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy” | Friday, September 13

Lucasfilm’s latest film literally blows the entire “Star Wars” galaxy to pieces. When ordinary Nerf herder Sig Greebling unearths a powerful artifact from a hidden Jedi temple, he finds himself on an adventure “into a wonderfully wild and twisted new version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of everyone depends on Sig becoming the hero who can put it all back together.” Gaten Matarazzo leads an all-star voice cast that includes Tony Revolori, Bobby Moynihan, Marsai Martin, Michael Cusack, Ahmed Best and Mark Hamill. All four episodes will be available on Friday the 13th.

Season 33 Premiere of “Dancing with the Stars” (Live) | Tuesday, September 17

“Dancing With the Stars” returns for its 33rd season, with co-hosts Alfonso Riberio and Julianne Hough welcoming a new cast of celebrities from the entertainment world to compete in the show’s themed choreography featuring trained ballroom dancers. Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Derek Hough return to the judging panel. So far, two-time Olympic bronze medalist and vaulting specialist Stephen Nedoroscik is the only confirmed cast member, but the full roster will be revealed on “GMA” on Sept. 4. The season premiere will stream live on Disney+, followed by weekly episodes every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.

Two-Episode Premiere of “Marvel Television’s Agatha All Along” | Wednesday, September 18

Go back down, down, down The Road starring the infamous Agatha Harkness. Kathryn Hahn reprises her Emmy-nominated role in the spinoff, playing the centuries-old witch, once disguised as Wanda and Vision’s nosy neighbor in “WandaVision,” now down and out of control when a suspicious teen (Joe Locke) helps her escape a warped spell and leads him on the legendary Witches’ Road gauntlet of trials. The Marvel Television series also stars Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Debra Jo Rupp, Aubrey Plaza and Patti LuPone. New episodes debut exclusively Wednesdays on Disney+

Premiere of “Ayla & the Mirrors” | Friday, September 27

The original Spanish series premieres this month, starring newcomer Violeta Madel as Ayla, a rich and spoiled girl who suffers the shocking loss of her father and is left with no memories. After arriving at a shelter, she meets Inés and The Mirrors, a dance group who help her realize she can hear the feelings of others through musical visions.
